Jackie N. Wheeler PA-C

 

For over 25 years Jackie has dedicated herself to her patients and the healthcare industry she loves. She obtained her undergraduate degree in health services and a master’s degree in occupational therapy from the University of Indiana. She worked for two years in orthopedics in Indiana and three years for Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. Achieving her lifelong dream, she then earned her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, a program known for its curriculum with a strong surgical emphasis.

Jackie is a nationally board certified Physician Assistant. Prior to her undergraduate studies, she began her career as a certified surgical technologist (CST) with an associate’s degree in surgical technology.

While employed at Le Bonheur, Jackie’s focus consisted of childhood developmental delays and orthopedic deformities secondary to birth defects. Simultaneously, from 2012-2014, she assisted an orthopedic surgeon for over two years after achieving her Surgical Assisting Certification from the Royal Academy of Surgical Assisting.

 

She is married to Kyle Wheeler and together they have two rambunctious boys Will and Austin who keep them very busy outside of work. She was born and raised in Indiana and looks forward to meeting new patients and caring for them from diagnosis to recovery.
